About Us

Work Life Synergy was created by Angela Whiting as a resource to assist employers and employees develop tailored workplace policies and practices that streamline efficiency and deliver work life balance outcomes.  

 

Angela Whiting

Angela worked for fifteen years in State and Federal government providing consultancy services to private sector employers with a focus on small to medium sized business.  Recently Angela has consulted to Local Government on a number of human resource and industrial relations matters and involved herself in another small business venture on the Fleurieu Peninsula.  Her experience includes:

  • Work within the Workplace Authority and Office of Employment Advocate as a Senior Workplace Relations Advisor.
  • Policy Promotion for the Department of Industrial Affairs - Enterprise Agreements Unit, Industrial Policy Division.
  • Human Resources Consultant working with a number of State Government Agencies.
  • Director - Corporate Services, South Coast  Aviation.

   

Angela's Key Achievement's To Date 

  • Developed promotional publication "Australian Workplace Agreements:  How To Profit From Family Friendly Workplaces."
  • Worked with South Australian Small-Medium sized businesses, across a range of industries, implementing work life balance strategies in their workplaces.  One client was a finalist in the ACCI/BCA National Work and Family Awards 2005.
  • Co-ordinated a national education program targeting marginalised women which aimed to their increase industrial awareness and worked with other disadvantaged groups including indigenous, youth, disability and mature aged.
  • Managed strategic relationships with both employer associations and community/not for profit organisations.
  • Designed and conducted information sessions to diverse industry and employee groups on industrial legislation, often focussing on equity issues and implementing work life balance strategies through agreement making.
